externship at the Syracuse V.A. Hospital with emphasis in ocular disease, and an externship in cornea and contact lenses where she managed patients with keratoconus, high myopia, irregular cornea, pediatric aphakia and prosthetic lenses.

In April of 2004, Dr. Myung joined Dr. Jotterand’s practice to provide optometric services as well as to expand the already existing Kidz Optics.  She provides comprehensive eye examination to children and adults, and prescribes glasses and or contact lenses when necessary.  Dr. Myung performs all the fitting of soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses for patients of all ages; as young as one month old aphakic infants.  She is also knowledgeable and experienced in diagnosing and managing eye diseases including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

Dr. Myung also provides Vision Therapy Evaluation, Visual Perceptual Evaluation and Vision Therapy services.  Dr. Myung discovered her calling to specialize in Developmental Optometry and Vision Therapy after learning of the vast number of children and adults suffering from treatable vision problems such as strabismus, amblyopia, learning-related visual disorders, and reduced visual functioning secondary to acquired brain injury.  Her experience in working with patients of all ages, including infants, has enabled her to utilize objective and subjective examination techniques to insure proper vision development in all of her patients.
